FAQ

We are compiling a list of the most frequently asked questions and have answered many of them here. If you have additional questions not answered below, please submit them to info @ worshiparts.org.

Q - Do I have to begin study at the beginning of a quarter, or can I begin anytime?

New students may begin their studies any month of the year. The first working day of the month is the start date of every course. Students in the Independent Study program may enroll at any time and begin their studies at any time.

Q - I am not sure how to tell if my computer will be sufficient for the studies. Do you know how I could address that issue?

Most Internet-ready computers should satisfy the requirements for the on-line classes. Your computer must have a web browser installed and be able to send and receive e-mail. If you cannot meet these requirements, the Independent Study program can be completed by mail or e-mail.

Q - I may be interested in making monthly payments, but I'm not  sure...

If you choose to make monthly payments, go to the on-line bookstore at least one day prior to the start of each course and make a single course payment instead of a quarterly payment.

Q - Is all of the work done on line? Are there any on site visits that need to be made?

All required course work can be completed on line. However, most courses require a practical application within an authentic ministry context. In other words, you will be expected to exercise or demonstrate your new knowledge in some type of ministry activity in your local church or community. In this way, the learning doesn't take place only on line, but extends to your "real life" environment as well. As we grow, we anticipate offering short-term residencies to enhance our programs, but at this time we do not offer nor do we require them.

Q - How much does it cost?

Tuition information can be found by clicking here.

Q - Is financial aid available?

A limited number of scholarships are awarded each year based on need, merit and funds available. For more information, click here.

Q - How much time does it take to complete the courses?

Eighty percent of our students responded to a survey by saying they spend between 6-8 hours a week doing course work. Twenty percent said they spend between 10-15 hours per week.

Q - What days of the week are the classes?

Our degree program does not have scheduled class times. Our virtual classroom approach is designed so that students can log on at any time of the day to complete their assignments and discuss work with instructors or other students. This is called asynchronous learning, and offers students complete schedule flexibility.
