Programs Overview | The Worship Arts Conservatory programs help students develop knowledge and fundamental competencies to effectively minister in any church or ministry. Worship Arts Conservatory graduates will be able to:
These on-line programs are designed to equip the whole student. Our programs prepare students for ministry through a series of intensive Biblical, artistic and personal development studies. We believe these programs enable our graduates to function with a high degree of Biblical competence, spiritual maturity, and social and ministerial skill, while developing the character required to achieve longevity in ministry. Each course in the program is offered as a month-long intensive, with a new course beginning every month. This provides four weeks of intensive focus on one subject at a time—an approach that has proven to be optimal for on-line learning. There are no scheduled class times, but students are expected to visit the virtual classroom two to three times a week to demonstrate adequate participation. Students use their own Internet-enabled computers to engage in virtual projects with other students, to access and complete assignments, and to discuss topics with students and faculty. Each course includes practical assignments for students to apply in their local church or ministry context. Note: Anyone not enrolled in the degree program may still enroll in individual courses through the Independent Study Program described below. For more information on the courses and schedule, click here. Independent Study functions much like traditional correspondence study, but all communication takes place over the Internet. Through this program, students work directly with the course material and the instructor, without interacting with other students. This is an ideal approach for those who wish to enhance their skills and ministry but are not seeking an Associate of Worship Arts degree. Students enrolled in Independent Study may take any of the courses offered by the Conservatory at any time. For students already enrolled in the degree program, the Independent Study program provides additional flexibility by allowing them to complete required course work out of sequence should this become necessary.
